Owned by the charming Frederick Zobel this small, this small estate produces soft, voluptuous Lirac full of red and black fruits, not at all aggressive. Frederick’s wines first came to our attention with his lovely 2003 Lirac, which was not at all marked by the aggressive, hard tannins that affected so many wines from the cotes du Rhone area. Predominantly Grenache with old vine syrah and Cinsault. Aged for ten months en cuve before bottling by hand.
