Domaine Edouard Bryczek Wine
Christophe Bryczek continues to take this domaine from strength to strength. He has a ‘matter a fact’ satisfaction with the quality of his 2006s, stating that the wines are obviously not comparable to 2005 stylistically, with much less intensity of colour, but that they possess a much more open expression of fruit on the palate and bouquet. He describes the vintage as ‘not particularly difficult’ and ‘a normal harvest, commencing the third week in September’. In general he concurs that the 2006s will be extremely enjoyable in youth, improving after five years. This is a lovely array of wines. We have been working with this domaine for many years now and I have said each year that the wines possess amazing elegance and have an irresistible charisma in their youth. Due to the character of the 2006 vintage, this attribute is naturally enhanced this year, but as I have also said so many times before, don’t be deceived by their youthful charm, they will age with incredible grace
