Domaine Bois de Boursan Wine

Jean Paul Versino is one of Chateauneuf-du-Pape’s great characters. Still youthful and energetic, tasting with him can be somewhat exhausting. He speaks with passion about his work and his enthusiasm can be infectious. Although from the new generation, his ideas and methods are very much honed by tradition. His Chateauneuf-du-Pape is among the most elegant and Burgundian of all. They are svelte and pure and can be seductively perfumed. Both cuvees are based upon very old Grenache with a touch of Mourvedre. Ageing is in foudre for the classique and in six year old barrique for the Felix. Interestingly, Jean-Paul employs no sulphur during the elevage and only the barest minimum at bottling. This lack of sulphur allows his wines to reveal their enticing aromas and flavours.
