Francoise Bedel Dis, Vin Secret
Pale gold with a good, persistent mousse. A crisp, fresh, appley nose. Lovely and complex with autolytic notes and a core of apricot and honey along with a touch of mineral and brioche. Dry, soft acidity. Fruity and fresh with fleshy coxes or cider apple, mature honey and brioche. Quite rich and mouth filling, smooth and long with the autolyisis, pan grille and earthy notes evident in the finish. (CG)

Pazo de Senorans 2010 Albarino
A very full and rich nose, yet it displays a wonderfully fresh edge. There is an abundance of creamy white fruit, peach, grass and soft spice. In fact the aromas have a distinctly Southern French quality. Dry, soft acidity. Like the nose the palate is wonderfully full and ripe with a generous degree of soft white stone fruits, apricot and soft spices. Again wonderfully balanced by the grassy/ mineral notes. Very long. Domaine de Montcy 2008 Cheverny Vieilles Vignes Clos des Cendres
The Clos des Cendres is a lieu-dit with a siliceous clay terroir and vines of 60-80 years of age. The blend here is 50% Sauvignon, 50% Chardonnay. A very different expression from the straight Cheverney – a real vins de terroirs, with an intense minerality. Dry, flinty and mineral with ripe stony fruit and citrus acidity. Superb definition, balance and length.

Maison Chapoutier 1986 Banyuls (50cl)
Lighter than the the Rivesaltes, with a lovely elegance to the aromas. Almost Madeira-like with honeyed, toffee’d dried fruit and nuts. Dry, low acidity, low tannins. Clean and Madeira-esque, lovely rancio of coffee, green nuts, dried fruit (raisins and sultanas). Lovely length with a good peppery/ spicy bite and a touch of burnt toffee on the after taste. (CG)
